Week 10…Found a trick, Feelin’ good!

Yesterday I went into the jewelry store in town to drop off my ring to be fixed (work broke it, not swollen sausage fingers – which I don’t have, by the by).  I have a couple of friends that work there and was glad that my friend Mindy was at the counter; she has had two really rough pregnancies where she was sick the whole time.  I am realizing now how long of an introduction this is.  Anyway, I told her I was feeling sick all the time.  We gathered that the time we feel like throwing up the most is when our stomachs were empty.  I have a tip now for all you pregnant ladies, but I am saving that for my weekly words of wisdom below.  Now I just tricked you all into reading the blog!  🙂

How Far Along? 10 weeks today.  Or, by my new OB that didn’t give an ultrasound, 11 weeks tomorrow.

Total weight gain
: Since I got pregnant, I have lost 6 pounds.

Cravings: Cold and fresh things – fruits, salads, SALSA.  Mmmm….

Maternity clothes? None yet, but my stomach is starting to show, I think.  Well, it must be because I am losing weight, yet my stomach is getting bigger. 🙂

Sleep: I have been sleeping  A LOT.  Last night I slept for 12 hours!  The only thing I don’t like is I’ve been waking up with my neck hurting a lot.  Of course, that’s not necessarily a pregnancy thing.

Best moment this week: I was pushing on my abdomen to “investigate,” and I felt a little round-ish circle-ish thing.  I think that that may be the uterus?  🙂

Movement: Other than that mentioned above, no.  And that was by force, I don’t think that uterus was moving willingly.

Labor Signs: Nope, nope, nope.

Belly Button in or out? Still definitely in.

What I miss: Wearing regular pants.  Because I feel sick all the time, I can’t handle the feel of a waistline on my stomach.

What I am looking forward to: My next ultrasound when we get to hear the baby’s heartbeat – Feb. 4! :)

Weekly Wisdom:  Because you feel most sick when your stomach is empty, eat little things at regular intervals throughout the day.  Don’t eat bug meals because then you just feel full and aren’t really able to eat again when you’re hungry thus insuring the want to throw up feeling.  It really works!  That and a fruit Popsicle.

Milestones:  Huh.  I think maybe a little to early to have it be anything other than my first ultrasound.

Enclosed is the weekly picture.
